• Manage inventory (coils, sheets, nuts, bolts, rivets, etc) for the following customers: Daimler, Thomas Built Bus, Navistar, Ames, Barry Controls, Dresser, Nacco for the stamping division in United States and Mexico. • Setup slitting and cut to length reports to ensure raw material is processed and ready to be ran in-house as well as outside processors • Place material requisitions based off demand for customers above • Direct purchasing in aluminum, carbon sheets, and material needed for assemblies/fabrication as well as open market buys • Confirm purchase orders to the mill match customer material specs as well as internal specs • Confirm incoming material matches purchase order • Check mill status report to assure material will be produced/delivered in a timely manner • Prioritize and expedite raw material at mills and outside processors • Place blanket purchase orders for component parts and fasteners • Price material and components for quoting new work from current and potential new customers • Enter material received into customer’s system • Enter purchased parts into Liberty Steel’s system • Verify inventory in system matches what is in house and adjust accordingly • Communicate with customers regarding transition of new jobs to Liberty Steel • Assist in moving material to Mexico (buy, process and fill out required paperwork) • Offer troubleshooting solutions during situations that interfere with daily operations Show less
