      St. Joseph’s University Learning Commons, Philadelphia, PA Full design services for a 38,000 square foot addition to the Francis A. Drexel Library to create a technology-rich environment geared to today’s student preferences. The enhanced library and learning commons features a soaring three-story atrium bridging the old and new sections; visitor information center; a café; and a rare collections archive with curatorial support. School District of Lancaster – Washington Elementary School: Lancaster, PA Addition, renovations and site work for Art deco-style elementary school. The 35,000 square foot addition will expand the gymnasium to full-court capacity and provide a new cafeteria, kitchen, classrooms and offices. Renovations on both floors include reconfiguration and reallocation of space, new finishes and furnishings, and building system improvements. Weavers Way Coop: Retail grocery store, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA Sensitive to the historical context of the Chestnut Hill Business District, BWA designed a new 60-foot-long traditional storefront inspired by the nearby circa 1900 architecture. Key challenges included severely deteriorated roofs, ground water incursion, structural deficiencies, antiquated building systems, and life-safety problems. Congregation Rodeph Shalom Metropolitan Facility: Philadelphia, PA Restoration and extensive upgrades to historically significant Byzantine Revival sanctuary. Preparation of master plan for expansion and renovations of entire metropolitan campus including the school annex, new administrative and rabbinic offices, a new lobby and gallery, and extensive sitework and landscaping.
