The non-profit facility programs cover vocational evaluation, sheltered employment, job skills training/work study, small group employment, supportive employment, Community Participation Services, and Pre-Employment Transition Service programs. • Created Capital Campaign Committee to collect 1.4 million dollars in funds in to renovate facilities and expand vehicle fleet. • Worked with an Ad Hoc Committee of the BEi board to establish and merge with the Barber National Institute to expand services to disabled adults in Warren and Forest County. • Due to changes outlined in the Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act implemented the Pre-Employment Transition Services by creating a partnership between the Warren County School District and Forest County School District to provide job exploration counseling, work based learning experiences, counseling on post-secondary opportunities, workplace readiness training and instruction in self-advocacy to eligible students. • Served on various committees with the Warren County School District: 1) Strike Taskforce – various representatives from the community met to discuss the impact of the teachers strike and how it would affect the community. 2) Project Max – representatives of the WCSD and community met in an effort to increase the capacity of WCSD to provide all students, including those with complex instructional needs, with the maximum access to and learning of the general education system and the Pennsylvania Core Standards.
