    • Isle of Wight General Election Campaign Manager

During the 2017 General Election, I was nominated for the role of CLP Campaign Manager for the UK’s single largest constituency after demonstrating my organisational approach to tasks and naturally problem-solving skills during the Local Elections as the CLP’s Press Officer. We recorded the best result for the CLP since 1959, doubling the vote from the last election. I managed a team of 60 volunteers, effectively implementing a campaign strategy and organising them across 235 sq. miles for canvassing and leafleting sessions by selecting strategic locations for maximum voter engagement, to running town stalls, hosting events at local festivals or holding mini-town hall events for the public to meet and speak with our PPC. I also ran the CLP’s social media platforms, for which I produced, edited and filmed a dozen short promotional videos with our PPC on national and local issues, like fox hunting, climate change, the NHS and transportation, which were aimed to directly communicate with voters. I held the primary responsibility of drafting press notices and managing CLP press relations, meaning I engaged with the press at every available opportunity, gaining radio, TV and newspaper interviews for our PPC.
