  Mr. Mahlan has over 30-years-experience handling all aspects of civil litigation. In the past year alone, he has tried nine cases. At the outset of his career, he served as an assistant district attorney in Nassau County, New York. Subsequently, he gained experience handling class action and construction litigation matters while associated with large insurance companies and insurance defense law firms in Manhattan. Throughout his career, he has tried cases throughout the boroughs of New York City as well as its neighboring suburban counties. He is admitted to all courts of the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts. He has obtained successful verdicts handling all manner of personal injury cases, as well as civil rights and environmental litigation. He is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Columbian Lawyers Association, Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy, and Nassau County Bar Association. He is a Commissioner on the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights.
