Worked on diverse projects that have allowed me to gain valuable experience in machine learning, data science, and data ingestion techniques. I developed 6 internal libraries and an internal website to streamline knowledge management and foster team collaboration. Since March 2023 I’ve been working on the Data Platform and Analytics project in Sky, a well-known broadcaster in Italy. My responsibilities include developing advanced analytics use cases using machine learning and enhancing the data ingestion pipeline with new features (usage of GCP, Python, Scala, Scio, and Neo4J). Previously: Undertook a research project for a prominent Italian bank focused on topic modeling: I explored a range of topic modeling techniques such as Top2Vec, KeyBERT, BERTopic, LDA, and LSA. Additionally, I delved into GCP's DocumentAI OCR processor and FAISS for semantic search. I contributed to the development of a job order clustering and monitoring tool designed to enhance data collection and analysis across multiple departments within a company that handles more than 10,000 projects annually. To improve the system's performance, I optimized execution time by isolating components, clarifying dependencies, and implementing multiprocessing (usage of Pandas, Dask, Terraform, AWS, Oracle databases, and Docker). While writing my MSc. thesis I worked as a researcher in the DEIB (Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Biotecnologia) lab. My focus was on tackling the challenge of multi-model fitting in noisy and unstructured data for Computer Vision applications. I developed a novel unsupervised deep learning approach to identify data points belonging to multiple models in a single pass, demonstrating its effectiveness in tasks like homography estimation and circle fitting. Additionally, I explored alternative problem formulations such as GPCA (Generalized Principal Component Analysis), showcasing the potential of this research area. Show less
