The company was debating on buying it and was using my evaluations to decide it's applicability to there current process. I also needed to write perl scripts in order automate the testing process which aided me with my evaluation of the tool and how it could be used with the current code base.

They wanted it to shorten the turnaround on their testing cycle. We had to refactor the code base and fixed 80% of the test cases to a passing state.
