I was responsible for the management of all Outbound Logistics Operations related to the staging and loading of road and rail tanker vehicles for the Sasol Secunda Fuel and Chemical operations. I oversaw the daily operations of road and rail dispatches of fuel and chemicals, implemented plans for the supervising, training and mentoring personnel. I developed and implementing effective programs, systems and processes to improve infrastructure integrity, scheduling and loading and managing road staging area, weighbridges, road and rail loading gantries and rail control I was also responsible for the liaising with international suppliers on key capital projects for the replacement of five locomotives to ensure an operational availability of more than 94% as well as the implementation of active scheduling on Road tanker loading operations through bid evaluation and allocation of capital.
