Philips used to have a camera factory in Breda (the Netherlands) where we produced camera systems for live broadcast and television studio's. The factory now is sold to Thomson electronics. Philips uses multiplexed signals between the camera and the so called "base station". The factory had a special small lab where we measured and calibrated the electronics for the connection of cameras. The lab was called the "MUX department" I worked there as a engineer.
