Bar Staff/Chargehand

Dec 2019 - Feb 2020
My time with The Cardross Inn was a fun one, starting at the beginning of the Christmas holiday season I was returning to the hospitality industry at the busiest time of the year. Challenged with learning the layout of the bar as well as the restaurant in an effort to hit the ground running. I was tasked with all bar related duties from serving customers at the bar as well as putting together drink orders for the restaurant serving staff, cash handling, stock replenishment, cleaning, helping the serving staff during busy periods and chargehand duties such as cashing up the tills and securing the property at the end of the day. Working for Aldi was a fun and challenging role, staff are tasked with multiple duties throughout the store each day including working checkouts, cash handling, filling stock and housekeeping. Work days were fast paced, there is very little time to stop as stock is continuously replaced when levels get low to provide as much choice for customers as possible. REASON FOR LEAVING: Unmanageable Work/Life balance.
