I am a Senior Planning Officer at Capita Local Government Services providing Planning Resilience Support as an external consultant to Local Planning Authorities, when not working in Development Management for North Tyneside Council. I have full Chartership of the RPTI and have broad range of experience handling applications across the Development Management process, from Householder through major applications, including residential major residential, retail and industrial schemes, both under delegated powers and presenting applications to Planning Committee. In addition to the processing of Planning applications, I have significant experience in the handling discharge and variation of conditions, the negotiation and processing of S.106 Agreements, EIA Screening Opinions and experience of running Public Inquiries for my home Local Planning Authority, including appearing as an Expert Witness. From a range of secondments to across the length and breadth of the country, I have built a wealth of experience of applications from Northumberland to Cambridge and North Tyneside across to Bolton, in addition to London Borough work for the Capita-Barnett partnership.

I am currently on secondment to Cambridgeshire County Council Planning (Minerals and Waste) as a case officer delivering county level applications with a focus on Education developments and projects.
