I began by working three months as a canoe route technician in Lake Superior Provincial Park after which I was hired in Sudbury to write the French River Canadian Heritage Rivers Pilot Study to nominate the French as the first Canadian Heritage River. After completing that I returned to Lake Superior park to be the Project Manager for the Agawa Rock Trail redevelopment which culminated in an opening ceremony with the Minister and the family of Selwin Dewdney who were closely connected to the site. I then returned to Sudbury to work as a planner; hired as the senior planner in 2008. Thus far in my career I have contributed to two provincial strategic planning programs (1979 & 1999), written one visitor education plan, 42 management plans, and numerous records of Class Environmental Assessment as well as contributed to two environmental study reports. I have submitted several work plans to forecast fiscal year targets and budgets. My work, as above, engages park superintendents, other regional office specialists, district staff and external partners. Show less
