We are a Sixth Form of 400 students, two thirds of whom join us in Year 12, offering an A level curriculum. I'm head of year (currently year 13) and have considerable experience with the UCAS process. My role is to offer pastoral leadership and care to ensure academic progress, and to develop the additional offer beyond A levels, such as enrichment, volunteering, Duke of Edinburgh Award and careers.

KS3 and A level teaching. A particular interest and passion in teaching composing and the balance between creative and formal processes, such as tonal harmony. I love teaching harmony to A level students.

    • Duke of Edinburgh Award
      • Sep 2011 - Present

We run the Bronze and Gold award for year 10 (approx 60 students) in the Mendips and Quantock Hills and year 12 (approx 45) with expeditions to Snowdonia and the Lake District. As a Mountain Leader we run the expeditions from school and reach out to instructors to support with this.

    • Chaplaincy Lead
      • Sep 2011 - Present

We are a Church of England School who welcome students from across the Bristol area, from all faiths and none (we have no faith admissions criteria). My role is to make sense of the school's heritage and Christian ethos, and its links to the Cathedral in a way that makes sense for the whole school community. Our strap line is 'Gathered together that all may thrive' and our school values are Kindness, Courage and Hope. We gained an 'excellent' judgement in a SIAMS inspection in February 2020.
