Jan 2020 - Present
I successfully oversee and manage the tendering and delivery of concrete and masonry contracts. I carryout site surveys of all potential contracts for our wide range of services which include concrete repairs and concrete coatings, masonry repairs & strengthening (Wykamol approved installer and surveyor), car park refurbishments and car park decking systems, waterproofing and damp proofing, repairs advice, corrosion control and cathodic protection, steel and timber structures maintenance and repair, liquid roofing, epoxy coatings and epoxy screeds, wall tie and lintel replacements, historical building restoration, specialist stone and concrete cleaning and protection. From the surveys I will compose a tender enquiry to the client’s specific requirements for each contract. I manage the procurement of all materials, labour, subcontract labour and plant, ensuring orders are placed at rates that meet the specific tender enquiry. I will then invoice all contract works including any variations, ensuring final accounts are settled and any disputes resolved as promptly as possible.

Nov 2014 - Apr 2017
I managed my time effectively to maximise productivity and efficiency for up to 20 contracts with a minimum of 4 live running contracts. I successfully delivered all site operations from the confirmation of the order to the final account by communicating efficiently with all departments and our client to ensure that all works are carried out within programme targets, in budget, all aspects of Health and Safety are met prior and during contracted works and the quality of the installation is of the highest standard. I co-ordinat the correct amount of labour, plant requirements and resources for each specific contract so that the company delivers their installation on time and within the most cost effective way. I engaged with suppliers and clients to make sure that delivery of our products/resources arrive on site on the requested delivery dates to allow our contracted works to progress smoothly. I attended pre-start meetings prior to commencing work on site to confirm what our client has purchased from our company but also highlight what other requirements may be needed that were not agreed at tender. Any additional works outside of our estimate are to be documented by myself and raised as a site record for our QS Department to charge on when the final account is completed. I ensured that all company policies, procedures and best practices are always being followed on site by all SMD employees and sub-contractors. From site visits prior to our work commencing it allows me to produce site specific RAMS for the contract. I audited each site to ensure that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to in accordance with the RAMS and that Quality Assurance checks are taken place throughout the installation of the contract so that our product is delivered to the highest standard. I have established and maintained effective working relationships within the company and acted as a line manager for SMD site staff where my duties include appraisals and performance monitoring.
