  I have been working at WesTrac since October 2011, initially starting in the marketing area. Here i was able to utilise the skills and knowledge I gained while at university and apply it directly to the role I was placed into. Working closely with the marketing manager, I was able to develop the 'WesTrac Racing Magazine", which focussed priimarily on our sponsorships within the V8 Supercars community. Since I finished my degree in June 2012, I have been more focussed in the mining area of the company. I have been placed in a project support role which includes everything from doing quality audits to large scale strategic marketing projects, working out opportunities that could potentially be developed for future sales in different areas of the company. As of late, I have been focussing my time an effort into improving the financial forecasting accuracy at WesTrac inclusive of capital machine sales as well as parts and service revenue. Using structured BI processes and tools, I am developing a training course to ensure that the software and programs we have in place are being utilised to the best of our ability. In turn this will reflect an accurate understanding of where WesTrac are sitting now and into the future. Show less
