With the company, I was involved in Greensboro Ballet's City Dance Program and Dance In The Schools Program. With City Dance, I travelled with other company dancers and our Artistic Director to public elementary schools in Guilford County and held auditions for after school dance programs taught by our company. Through this program we also offered scholarships to underprivileged children to train at the School of Greensboro Ballet. With Dance In The Schools, the company travelled to schools throughout Guilford County to perform variations from different classical and contemporary works, and to teach children about dance, dance history, and careers in the arts. Ballets I have performed in as a company member of Greensboro Ballet include: * Snow White - Dwarf, Magic Mirror * A Midsummer Night's Dream - Villager * The Nutcracker - Spanish (Hot Chocolate), Russian, Nutcracker Prince, Party Guest * Mozartiana - Pas de Deux, Men's duet, Solo * Coppelia - Paysans, Waltz of the Hours, Harlequin & Pirout doll, Czardas, and Mazurka Show less

I followed The Little Gym International's curriculum and guidelines to ensure a fun and safe learning environment for children ages 4 months old to twelve years old. In my parent-child classes (ages 4 months to 2.5 years) I instructed parents on how to safely handle their children in gymnastics and dance. With the infants and toddlers classes I prioritized healthy socialization, problem-solving, decision-making through exploration, positive affirmation, kinesthetic movement and awareness in order to foster cognitive development. With my pre-K students, I incorporated the same developmental tools as with the parent-child classes, with a heavier emphasis on fundamental gymnastics and dance skills. This included balance beam, floor (tumbling), vault, and bars for gymnastics, and ballet and tap techniques for dance. I encouraged listening skills and following direction through repetition and visual cues. In grade school (ages 6-12) and advanced grade school (same age, but higher skill level) I worked with students on confidence and independence and building off of fundamental skills to help them become well-rounded gymnasts and dancers. I taught them new skills every week as well as reviewing what had been learned throughout the season. On top of teaching, I worked in the front office using programs such as Microsoft Excel and Oasis to take payments, respond to inquiries, enroll new students, and organize student's schedules. I used social media, namely Instagram, to showcase our programs and market to potential clients. Show less
