Health and Safety Manager The Right Honourable Herb Gray Parkway ( Windsor Essex Parkway ). Provide Health and Safety management support for all the electrical lighting infrastructure and installation portion of the $1.4 billion Windsor-Essex Parkway project. The Windsor-Essex Parkway is the 11Km Ontario access road portion of an end-to-end international border transportation system in the Windsor-Detroit Gateway. • Reviewed all CYMI and SICE Health and Safety Policies and Procedures prior to project start up to ensure that they comply with all Ontario Legal and Regulatory requirements. • Supervise all subcontractor safety audits and compliance checks, with subsequent recommendations addressing safety concerns. • Establish, encourage, and maintain a collaborative effort in ensuring site safety on all levels of the project, utilizing the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association’s Basics of Supervision. • Manage incident investigation, documentation and reports to senior management. • Coach and guide sub contractors through the Job Safety Analysis review and submission process. • Evaluate, identify, and enforce the best course of action to prevent worker exposure and control site hazards. • Evaluate and oversee the development and execution of sub contractor safety programs. • Review and audit sub contractor traffic protection plans, and traffic control plans. • Coordinate with the Traffic and Construction departments to ensure the accuracy of traffic control and protection plans and the safe execution of daily construction tasks.
