Bio
Artur Malantowicz
I've had the pleasure to interact with Wiebe on both professional and personal levels during his time as a student of the NOHA Joint Master's Programme in International Humanitarian Action, University of Groningen's representative to the NOHA Joint Programme Committee and, subsequently, a NOHA Graduate. At all occasions, he proved to possess sharp mind and critical thinking. Combined with his enthusiasm, balanced perspective and passion to everything he does, it has always resulted in high quality outcomes and valuable, constructive feedback. With his great interpersonal skills, he feels at ease in multinational and multicultural environment, always spreading a positive vibe around himself. Both professionally and academically, Wiebe has been actively interested and engaged in the international refugee regime, advocating for a more principled approach to protection needs of the displaced people. His master thesis provided an in-depth insight into and a critical analysis of recent developments in the sector (such as the New York Declaration for Refugees & Migration) through the lens of institutional theory, producing yet another proof for the gap between the state's formal commitments and international practice. I'm sure that Wiebe would make a great employee and a colleague to literally anyone!
