Updates the front desk as to rooms clean and vacant. - Supervises the work of the room attendants in his/her area. Insures that all work is done properly by inspecting beds, furniture, bathrooms, etc, in both check out and stay over rooms. Reports work poorly done. - Inspects for needed repairs, such as torn carpet or wallpaper, and painting needs. - Calls work orders into the maintenance office, and prepare maintenance work orders. Copies of all work orders are kept in housekeeping files. - Instructs and trains new room attendants in their assigned duties and responsibilities and observes their capabilities while working. - Assists the Executive Housekeeper with any reasonable request. - Assists with the duties of a room attendant during emergencies. - Responsible for the laundry service of the hotel - Supervises the general cleaning, the general appearance and the decor of all working areas and offices of the hotel - Responsible for all master keys in the hotel - Assist in personnel matters such as evaluating and counseling - To act on all decisions, departmental meetings, programs and schedules decided by Executive Housekeeper - Submit performance appraisal periodically for each staff under his control - Maintain open channels of communication with the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering and Laundry Department - Ensures that all necessary tools, supplies and equipment are available and maintained for daily operation - To handle guest complaint diplomatically - To prepare monthly report within the assigned area, planning and assessing improvement in standards, goals and costs - Responsible for emergency the team spirit and motivation all staff.
