  De Open Nederlandse Slagwerk Kampioenschappen is een evenement waar jaarlijks rond de 750 musici (slagwerkers/percussionisten) zich van hun beste kant willen laten zien. Er worden telkens 6 nieuwe slagwerkcomposities gepresenteerd aan het publiek en een geblindeerde jury beoordeeld elk ensemble. Met enig gepaste trots is te stellen dat het ONSK het drukst bezochte slagwerkevenement van Nederland is. Doestelling is met name gericht op ontmoeting, verbinding met als goede ''bijvangst'' de jaarlijkse gecreëerde nieuwe composities. Show less
