One of our favorite events is our annual Hit-A-Thon that serves as a home-run derby type event that we incorporate as a Halloween event and add a service project Trunk-Or-Treat on our field after the event for all kids in the area to dress up and get candy on our field while they meet our players and staff. *Served as Scot Thomas Softball Camp, Camp Director*Work with our marketing team to successfully plan promotions for our home games to better incorporate a Hokie Experience. *Work with VT Athletics Photographer, Dave Knachel, and shoot different sporting events or pictures for graphics.*Host a free clinic that has seen almost 300 kids in 2 years. *Also helped to successfully host the ACC Softball tournament in 2015.   *Ran a youth travel organization based out of Blacksburg called the NRV Diamonds *Worked towards teaching kids the proper fundamentals and giving them the best advice and opportunities to play college softball. Rural Southwest Virginia has not been known for their advancement in Softball, but we took a step in the right direction on changing that image and allowing girls to learn the sport they love from some of the best mentors in the area that include current and former Division 1 Softball players and teaching them how to give themselves the best opportunity to become recruited and earn scholarships to help further their education. During this time, I was able to work with Pam Ward and NPF commissioner, Cheri Kempf. I was also able to work with Mark Neely and Nick Belmonte during the 2013 NCAA Baseball Regionals.
