I am responsible for 2 store locations in their entirety. This means heading up any customer complaints and problems that may occur, making schedules, creating sales goals based on several metrics and driving those results. I am in charge of hiring and firing employees. Also making sure that all locations are operating within our standard operating procedures, this includes cleanliness, as well as keeping the stores tidy and up to date on the current sale. I also have the responsibilities to keep records for the stores which include all shipments, finances and inventory and months end paperwork. Including our profit and loss reports and making changes accordingly to become a better and more profitable business. It is also my responsibility that each employee stays up to date with all of their training that needs to be completed. This is to help perfect their abilities to maximize their success as well as to help drive results in the district, and region. As a trainer it is my job to stay up to date on all training's including for the store, myself, and training techniques that make me more valuable as an employee, and also to better me as a trainer and a mentor. I also have had the opportunity to travel and be an ambassador for mattress firm three times. This job role includes the changing of stores that Mattress Firm acquired as well as the training of our new employees that we also acquired. I also take any opportunity to take on any and all extra assignment that are either given to me, or that I seek out so show my capabilities and my urge to learn and grow. Show less

    • Sr. Account/Customer Relationship Manager
      • Jan 2010 - Oct 2015

As a Sr. Account/Customer Relationship Manager I have had many different job roles. These roles include/included selling different financial products and helping establish, pilot, and launch Discovers new credit card called "Discover IT". While launching and piloting their new credit card, I was also asked to be part of several focus groups created to enhance the customer relationships with fresh, new ideas. This in turn would help Discover bring their customer service to where it is now, but also to make things easier and more efficient for the customers and for the account managers that handle the needs of these clients. In this job capacity I also helped improve our systems that we use on a daily basis to become more efficient and cost effective. After taking on those responsibilities for over a year, I then took on a new role talking to and helping customers to see the value in their credit card accounts which they were seeking to close. By taking care of these customers, I can repair and improve a relationship between the customer and the Discover company. Along the way I have also trained new employees and been placed in charge of 5 to 15 employees. My role helped to continue their success to drive up business results as well as helping them reach their personal goals. Show less
