  I first worked as a reading interventionist in New Haven for two and a half years. Then, during my graduate internship program, I completed student teaching in a third grade classroom in Bethany. After graduating, I worked as a paraprofessional for six months to get experience in special education. I received an offer to teach fifth grade in New Haven the following summer and have been doing so for the last three years.
