While at Stupp, I perform visual, ultrasonic, and x-ray inspections on SAW pipe for the oil and gas industry. My main responsibility, is to the UT department as the GE SNUP operator and a phased array technician. The SNUP is an automated UT system, with two independently moving heads, each having up to 10 transducers. As the SNUP operator, I am required to calibrate and maintain the equipment and inspect the weld seam looking for longitudinal and transverse flaws. I operate control panels to route the pipe to the correct location in the production process. I am responsible for product data collection for production and quality processes. Show less
