Awarded a full Santander scholarship to work on a virtual internship for Think Pacific Foundation, in Global Education, with the partnership of Ministry of Education in Fiji. My project was focused on animal welfare education programme to be proposed to the Ministry of Education to include it in the Fijian curriculum. It included the proposal, teaching resources and comparison of other countries that have already introduced such a programme in their curriculum. This project improved my research skills and helped me broaden my knowledge because as a Zoology student I have a good understanding of animal welfare but no relation to the educational filed. It also allowed me to gain better communication and presentation skills, remote working skills, and learn more about Fijian culture and challenges. Show less
