I am excited to be collaborating on a Clinical Project aimed at understanding the still understudied role that physical activity can play in battling relapse in depression. The Stayfine Study is a large randomized controlled trial investigating adolescents (N = 254, 13-21 years old) remitted from depression and anxiety disorders and following them over 3 years. We will measure our psychological data through questionnaires (e.g., BDI-II) and ecological momentary assessment (EMA) and the diurnal physical activity of the young adults through accelerometers put on wristbands (Axivity). I will use network analysis (both cross-sectional and temporal networks) as a tool to investigate if there are interesting fluctuations and correlations between the emotional affect and the physical activity of the participants. We will have an overview of the daily fluctuations within participants and be able to model and predict possible groups of the population with a high risk of relapse or higher resilience. This project wants to explore alternative ways of battling relapse in depression and/or improving already existing ones. Show less
