Werner is a truly inspirational leader. He brings a business perspective to IT topics and adds an IT view on business transformation. He has a compelling vision of where he wants to bring an organization. Admittedly, it sometimes took me minutes after a short discussion to grasp the full wealth of his statements and insights. Werner is a great source of inspiration. And he can be very much to the point as well: I remember him walking to my desk after he approved my international assignment with the short comment "so geil" :-). A leader needs to master many languages – and Werner certainly does so.

Even when my pleasure to work directly for Werner was not too long I enjoyed very much his fresh and positive approach to energize people. I wish him all the best to further develop & implement his great vision into the the Roche IT organization. Based on his broad knowledge, his energy, his excellent way in building up relationship with people and what I observed in the last 10 months from an "outside IT but inside business" point of view I am very optimistic that he will continue to have success.
