Eric Watt joined the Vermont Health Connect team in December of 2014 as a vendor manager. Vermont Health Connect is Vermont's health insurance exchange required under the ACA. Eric has not only performed his role outstandingly he has also played a critical role in the development of the Vendor Manager role for the Vermont Agency of Human Services. This was a new role for Vermont and Eric was the first professional hired for this purpose. The work he has done for Vermont has been invaluable. While analyzing hours reported and deliverable expectations to ensure the vendors met their contractual obligations is important work the real value that Eric brings to this project is his ability to build and manage relationships. In this environment that responsibility can be challenging. Eric has always been professional in his interactions with our vendors and with his state colleagues. He has remained calm under pressure and has often been able to bring a soothing effect to interactions that have arisen from conflict. Eric is a valuable member of this team and has played a large role in the success we have seen in the last year and a half.
