I was fortunate enough to work with Wendy during my first few years with PHN Architects. We worked together through construction documents, construction administration, and the LEED certification process on the Oakbrook Terrace Public Services Facility. Wendy was always great to work with. Her organization, great work ethic, and overall good nature made the experience enjoyable, efficient, and successful. We worked together to gain a LEED Silver rating for the project, much due to all of her aforementioned great qualities. I would love to work with Wendy again!
Neil Pollock
My name is Neil Pollock. I was president of PHN Architects, Ltd. and PHN Construction, Ltd., each originally based in Wheaton, IL until I retired at the end of 2006. I was one of the original founders of these firms which began in 1974. I had the pleasure of working with Wendy Schreiber for approximately ten years, during which time she was a VP / Project Coordinator at PHN Construction, Ltd. Wendy was a delight to work with. She is very intelligent, catches on quickly, very personable and quite competent. She was responsible for the administration of pre-construction bidding services, construction phase project administration and excelled at both. Her strengths include marketing, client relations, project sales, writing and awarding subcontracts, client communications and subcontractor payment processes up to project completion and delivery to the owner. Wendy is very dedicated to the duties and responsibilities of her position. Simply put,

I am proud to be a part of Elliot Construction Corporation, a Union firm that has been proudly constructing specialty poured-in-place concrete projects in Chicago and the surrounding Metropolitan area since 1955. Our firm excels at technically and architecturally challenging projects which use the skills of our experienced, and superbly knowledgeable Field Constructors. No brag--just fact: our field people are amazing. The more I get to know them, the more I am impressed with their drive to be excellent in everything they do. The real quality control in a construction project gets down to how much the folks in the Field care about what they are doing-- here at Elliot Construction, Rob Elliot reminds us all daily to take pride in giving our best, whether we are working in the office, or placing concrete on the site. Please give me a call if you are looking for a quality concrete firm to partner with on your next project.

My experiences at PHN Architecture & Construction tempered my understanding of the building business, by allowing me the priviledge of working as a collegue with an architectural staff in a combined Architectural/Contruction practice. I was also priviledged to have input into the marketing and management operations of this firm, in addition to my responsibilities for pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phase work. I relocated to Wisconsin due to family needs. While there, I worked for a starter single family home developer, expediting his work. I met with homeowners to finalize their selections, and expedited construction schedules and materials for completion of many simultaneous projects. I relocated to Wisconsin due to family needs. Our firm specialized in high net worth Residential clients, on Lake Shore Drive and the Gold Coast neighborhoods of Chicago. I coordinated our client's needs with the demands of the construction schedule, and assisted my GC manager in meeting our schedule and cost constraints. I purchased materials, and controlled project documentation, interacting with major Architectural firms on a daily basis. I tracked project changes and cost data to ensure that we captured the many changes that occurred from this highly demanding clientele.
