Weily brought a contagious positive energy to EcZachly Inc’s first boot camp. She asked thoughtful questions that sparked great discussions that enhanced the teaching capability of the classes. Weily was amazing to have in the boot camp and I’m excited to see what she does next!

I've had the pleasure of working alongside Weily for the first two end-of-unit projects at the General Assembly Software Engineering Immersive. Weily is absolutely a team-player. Her interpersonal skills really complement her technical skills as a Software Engineer! She is always eager to give feedback and help others. Weily has provided a sense of community throughout our journey with her engagement, attentiveness, and constant motivation. She has been a beacon throughout our journey into Software Engineering. Any team would be lucky to have her.

The Revolver Life is a lifestyle brand currently developing a travel concierge mobile application for remote workers. My role is mainly task and git branch management for a team of 10 developers as well as coordinating with our product owner/CEO, technical experts and UI design team. As a full-stack team, we are working with React Native, AWS Lambda, Docker and integrating partner APIs. As a pair-programmer, I have developed a decision map in Pandas and documented ways to integrate the Stripe API using AWS Lambda. Show less

Here are some projects I developed (or helped develop) in my time at GA: ▪ Digital Portfolio: A front-end landing page featuring a mobile-responsive contact form and a purely HTML/CSS/jQuery carousel that utilizes jQuery to fetch data from a Google Sheet containing my projects to date. ▪ Animal Crossing Wardrobe: A full-stack application featuring a RESTful API server built in Node.js with Express and CRUD operations with Mongoose, connected to MongoDB Atlas for the non-relational database. The front-end features Bootstrap 4. This project allows users to pair Animal Crossing villagers with different clothing items using a many-to-many relationship. Future plans for this project include seeding the database with a JSON import and implementing user accounts so users can save their favorite outfit pairings. ▪ Finance Tracker (Git Master): A team-programmed full-stack Ruby on Rails application that tracks expenses using a PostgreSQL relational database and generates a live-updating table and pie chart using d3.js. The front-end features Bootstrap 4, Vue.js, and CSS animation. Team members: William Clavell (Team Lead), Weily Lang (Git Master), Eric Mestiza (d3 Data Visualization), Brandon Balkaransingh (Ruby on Rails back-end), Nang Shen Hom (Bootstrap front-end). ▪ On the Hook: A full-stack application built on the Python Django REST framework and Vue.js using a PostgreSQL database for users to log in with JWT authentication and keep track of crochet patterns and tutorials.
