Chris is a highly skilled digital marketeer. In fact, he is much more than that - he keeps surprising you with his multiple talents. So where to start? Well, as head of growth hacking, Chris' responsibility spans from all web and digital activities to all of Calldorado's email campaign activities. This is a major responsibility in terms of driving Calldorado's growth, which he has managed extremely well - and of course totally independently - he knows much more about digital, than most people. And yet, he is a very humble guy. He is the perfect Growth Hacker, working very independently, constantly experimenting to drive better outcome. He is a gift for any company whom seeks to grow and professionalize their digital and email campaign activities. I give him my very best recommendations.

Having worked with Chris for a year I can truly say that he is a price for every company. Chris is a very fast learner and very creative both in terms of expressing himself in writing and in terms of programming and understanding IT and more importantly how to make the best use of software. These are the areas of expertise I know that Chris possesses, but I am convinced that Chris would speedily be able to work in quite diverse roles within a broad range of competencies. On a personal level Chris is a very positive, team-oriented and empathic person. He gets the job done fast by connecting with people around him and he credit for far less than he does. I give Chris my warmest recommendation.

Management skills, strength-based leadership, budgeting, strategic goal setting, & KPI tracking - these are just a few key takeaways from my time as VP of Marketing at Calldorado. In this role, I was responsible for 4 specialist Marcom teams covering the fields of design, content, events, and advertising/app marketing. One of my proudest achievements was spearheading the activities that got Calldorado recognized as a badge-carrying Google Advertising Premier Partner. Other highlights from this role include multiple successful appearances at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Shanghai, as well as numerous other major industry events. With increased exposure, there was a need to determine the impact of marketing activities, which led to the development of an effective measurement strategy for determining growth in brand awareness. Primary responsibilities included:✪ Marketing strategy & brand architecture✪ Annual road-mapping & coordination of events and activities with Sales & Product teams ✪ Press Releases✪ Organic growth ✪ Performance Marketing and User Acquisition Show less

Getting thrown into the deep-end of inbound and outbound marketing strategy was a welcome challenge. I quickly developed an understanding of how an inter-linked strategy could drive leads, and ultimately sales, by adopting a marketing approach that sought as much to close sales as it did to drive brand awareness.A key achievement in this role was building a tight cohesion between sales and marketing activities that resulted in a up to 60% higher engagement by means of improved lead qualification and joint messaging. Along with the existing outbound marketing strategy and inbound strategy was put into place, hinged on digital advertising across platforms like Google, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn. Primary areas of responsibility included:✪ Design and execution of digital campaigns to drive brand awareness among key demographics.✪ Identifying and categorizing user personas and tailoring messaging and message delivery.✪ A/B testing and KPI-driven improvements of inbound and outbound initiatives.✪ Digital advertising initiatives, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Analytics Reporting. ✪ Overseeing outbound email-marketing activities with a focus on deliverability, authentication, and conversion optimization. ✪ Developing and ensuring the use of procedural best-practices.✪ Quick turnaround experimentation of new marketing channels and approaches that led to customer acquisition and business growth. The importance of scalability, the balance between my ability to sell and my ability to deliver on what I had sold, managing marketing budgets, striking a sustainable work-life balance when your job is also your hobby and passion - these are vital lessons I learned the hard way during the two years I ran my own 1-man media agency. The most important strength I developed during these 2 years was humility, and the ability to recognize when I was out of my depth and needed to ask for help. As a passion project, I regarded even the smallest achievements from landing my first client to securing my first repeat business as success stories. I worked on web development projects, communication material, and performance marketing for various small businesses, but ultimately I discovered that my true passion was in marketing, communication, and closing the sale. Primary tasks included: ✪ SEM and Display advertising ✪ Marketing • ✪ Web design ✪ Web development ✪ Strategic Media Planning ✪ Search Engine Optimisation (on-page) Show less

During my 3 years at TORM, I learned the intricacies of managing large projects, while at the same time keeping the ball rolling on smaller recurrent programs & tasks. In essence, I learned how to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks in order to meet strict delivery deadlines in a very high-stakes environment. A crowning achievement during my time at TORM was leading, and successfully completing, a large-scale revamp of the corporate website. This included; scoping the project, design & implementation, content production, and final release. Along with this, I was also responsible for the company’s newsletter, “The Shipmate”, which was released 10 times annually to a readership consisting of around 2000 seafarers. In this capacity, I planned and coordinated the thematic content & editorial foreword from TORM’s CEO, as well as the final layout and distribution. Other noteworthy projects include being part of the corporate intranet upgrade team, as well as participating in TORM’s Corporate Social Responsibility work by drafting the text for the company's CSR reporting related to compliance with the UN Global Compact, and assisting in filling the relevant reports. Primary tasks included: ✪ Internal communications ✪ Copywriting and editing for print ✪ Web Management & Maintenance Show less

My time at News International's online publication of The Sun honed my writing ability, helped me develop clear and concise communication skills, and most importantly, sharpened my eye for detail. A key milestone in my junior career was being made responsible for the Sun City finance section and the Motoring section after my first year, where I got to practice “priority management” under the guidance of the chief-night editor. This role included making decisions on the ranking of articles within the given sections. Primary tasks included: ✪ Writing of headlines, article-teasers, and image captions. ✪ Subbing of text. ✪ Copy production to cover spur-of-the-moment events. ✪ Article ranking on smaller sub-sections of site and liaising with designers for lead-story 'splashes'.
