      The goal of the Embedded Tutor position was to understand what was going on inside of the class to better serve the students taking the class. The class was Elementary Mathematics, for students who were planning on teaching. It dealt with arithmetic and pedagogical elements.       The Library Learning Commons is a place for students to go and use resources and get help with their classes. I was an accounting, mathematics, and English writing tutor in this space and would help students on a drop-in basis. My focus for every session would be to identify my fellow student's concepts and methodologies for why they would do or think a certain way to better help them out. Teacher and student is a fluid distinction and it is important to remember that we all share the same goal, the pursuit of knowledge and to help one another out.
