Senior Project Officer, Water Infrastructure
-
Jul 2018 - Present
Within my current substantive role I'm responsible for managing and delivering multiple projects that relate to waterway rehabilitation for ecological and strucutural improvements (ie; flood recovery, fish passage, instream habitat reinstatement, asset restoration). In addion, management of open public land parcels along the Barwon River in Geelong, from a visitor facility perspective, also forms a large component of my responsibilties. This is a four year rolling project that is managed on the basis of prioritising recreational assets and managing public health and safety. However social, environmental and cultural values are also mananged carefully within the project. The projects I'm responsible for are often of a civil nature where capital expenditure, contract development and contractor management has been a critical component of my role. However I do have responsibility for managing strategic and planning projects within my work group. Show less
