“ I began my professional association with Harris Miers in 1975 when he joined Lifemark, Inc.. He had a bright track record as National Plant Start-Up Manager for Frito-Lay/PepsiCo and had owned his own turnaround company for seven or so years. Harris was recruited to re-design the Dental Division production system. He did and was then directed back to line management. He assume the Division CEO position in 1977 and I partnered with him as a CFO. That was the launch pad for Lifemark to build all non-acute care enterprises into a Specialty Care Division. As the Division CEO, he consistently performed in a distinguished manner and developed 150 profit centers and approximately $150 million of annual revenues from multiple outpatient and inpatient services. He was rewarded with leadership of corporate hospital development and new healthcare business creation. As a NYSE listed company, LMK was acquired by American Medical International (AMI). Harris was the only corporate executive retained by AMI. We subsequently worked in merger and acquisition endeavors and he owns an interest in a technology transfer company I currently am working with. He is a performance oriented leader.”
