Innovation is critical to make a startup company successful. That is exactly I am in charge with. Several key concepts have been developed for our product that aims to assist users to perform rule checking on BIM models in the cloud.I continue to lead the innovation in the rule checking domain with relevant knowledge and work coming from my Ph.D. research, which I did in Georgia Tech together with Prof. Chuck Eastman as my advisor and completed at the end of 2015.

Responsible for new and innovative development of model analysis functionality in Navisworks product, core 3D modeller migration and AEC industry interoperability feature using IFC that involves obtaining international standard certification.* Filed two patents for model analysis in construction* Built 6 fantastic working prototypes for model analysis on construction that run in the cloud in the first 6 months of the new team being assembled. They were exceptionally well received by customers and Autodesk business development team.* Developed IFC support from scratch in AutoCAD Architecture and had it certified within just one development cycle.* Defined systematic approach for migration of 3D modeller for AutoCAD Architecture and MEP. Improved performance variation from 650% to 160%. This is significant considering the different types of modeller, which comes with many improvements over the existing one, and their performance characteristics.* Recruited, trained and assembled high performing teams twice; once for AutoCAD Architecture and recently for Navisworks model analysis.

Designed, developed and supported Geographic database system of SICAD GIS software (now owned by ESRI).* Improved robustness and performance of database access significantly. In some cases, performance improvement was up to 2000% by replacing the algorithm altogether.* Introduced many features that improved usability of the software, allowing ease of out-of-the-box setup and yet provided tuning parameters for more advanced setup.* Recognized as the expert on the RDBMS (Oracle and Informix), solving many RDBMS issues and tuning performance internally and with external customers.* Developed a toolkit that repaired complex database corruption cases, minimised the loss of data and improved the software to be free from the database corruption issue. It was successfully applied in 12 different cases worldwide.
