Waterman Cao has been both a colleague and friend since 2007. When hired as a project manager, his impact was immediate even in areas outside of his job description/responsibilities. He helped me to support an acquisition by packing and arranging inventory to be shipped to our third party logistics warehouse (3PL). It was easier to see then we had made a great hire - one that was willing to help in any area to make both the project and company successful. From his accomplishments managing projects, Waterman was promoted to manage the China Engineering department. This new role provided him with the opportunity to manage people and develop relationships beyond work to both encourage and set his direct reports up for growth / success. Areas his team focused on was New Product Development, Sustaining, and Cost Productivity projects. In being both a Project Manager and Engineering Director, an unique talent that Waterman Cao possesses is to listen in a meeting or discussion and provide insights that builds upon the topic or provides a different perspective that had not been considered. An example that best exemplifies this characteristic/skill was when the tariffs were increased to 25%. To help offset the impact until manufacturing was transitioned outside of China, Waterman investigated and recommended having the significant source of transformation be done outside of China but manufacturing still occur in China. This saved Radio Systems hundreds of thousands / millions of dollars in 2020. Another aspect of Waterman that should be known is the impact he has made outside of China. Approximately in 2015, Waterman and his family moved to the US for him to accept an Engineering Director job. This allowed him to extend/transfer his capability and managerial skills to a new professional environment/team. This does not do him justice in words alone but not only did he support his new engineering team but the one in China as well. This required not only communicating through e-mail but also conversations through Teams/Wechat to keep projects on track. These few words do not do enough to describe the impact and accomplishments Waterman had on RSC and fellow associates. Hopefully, it helps to provide a small picture of the person and depth / quality he can provide to an organization.

I have had the good fortune to work with and learn from Waterman for 6+ years. He is the epitome of a servant leader - he first seeks to understand, motivates through encouragement, and empowers his team to be accountable to drive development of innovative products that exceed customer expectations. Waterman consistently seeks opportunities to improve processes by asking questions and providing recommendations to help project teams optimize their workflow. "That's the way we've always done it" is a phrase you will never hear him say. I can always count on Waterman to come up with creative solutions to meet ever changing and ever urgent business needs!

"Made in the U.S.A" & #reshore, we all want it, talk about it, but how I can help? I have been actively looking for opportunities to bring manufacturing back to the US (#reshore) from a worldwide leading consumer products company for the past 7 years. There were successes but more roadblocks. Cost, capacity, and capability were the 3 major ones. During this process, I also gained a deep understanding of American manufacturers' challenges. With a passion of Enabling the US made, I joined Aubo Cobots. We will support my American manufacturer fellows to improve manpower utilization efficiency and improve product quality consistency, eventually achieving competitive cost, quality, and lead time. Only in this way, we gain more business, reinvest more into capability and capacity, and attract more people and funding to the US-made, one day, we will make America the worldwide manufacturing leader again! Aubo was started in 2010 and is the No.1 cobot solution provider in China market. We have the strongest R&D in this industry and we accumulated great industrial application knowledge from China. We will drive transferring that application knowledge we have, collaborate with my America manufacturing fellows, and customize solutions to really bring you the total value together, and eventually see YOU succeed!
