I was a Partner at law firm, Child and Child, based in Knightsbridge, London until October 2022. I specialised in three distinct fields of the law, which cover both contentious and non-contentious work. 1. Sports Law: Acting for athletes in the arena of football, cricket, boxing/MMA and tennis. I create contracts with and for clubs and also negotiate with clubs on changes to contracts to favour my clients I assist with post career planning including new commercial ventures using branding and media in the digital space. I act on regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, where required at CASS and other sporting arbitrary bodies such as the FA, the ECB British Boxing Board of Control. I act for clubs and associations on all commercial based agreements and regulatory compliance. 2. Financial services law: I acted for banks, financial institutions and large, mid and new start ups in the FINTECH and WEB3 space. I have a traditional understanding of the FCA handbook having worked for banks and challenger banks and was applying that traditional understanding to the new arena of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) including branding and smart contracts as well as more broader crypto currency related work. I helped companies write their policies and procedures to fit the regulatory environment and engaged with the FCA and other regulatory FS bodies to ensure compliance directly. 3. I have a commercial litigation practice both in the UK and cross-border (primarily the MENA and South and S.E Asia region). I deal with commercial disputes that arise from my FS and Sports practice. In addition, I cover shareholder disputes, injunctive relief/freezing orders as well as fully litigated claims to trial. As a strategist, I regularly make use of dispute resolution including ADR and mediation. Show less

Continuing to develop the growth of the highly successful litigation department. Part of a successful and motivated team that is looking to develop in the area of general commercial litigation. I also have a niche focus on non-contentious regulatory work for AIM firms and those companies seeking legal advice for their non-regulated products that they wish to bring to market. Providing advice to financial institutions and to business large and small. I believe in a fresh approach to legal advice that harbours Spirit, Talent and Enterprise. Show less
