On that project, my team successfully: - Built a mono-repo containing all API (Node.js) & UI (React) deliverables - Shared API & UI libraries across deliverables - Shared internationalisation strings across the stack for consistency - Shared data schemas, models and types across the stack for consistency - Delivered an efficient, automatically versioned build and testing pipeline which ran asynchronously across packages - Delivered a UI component library which followed design system principles and remained platform agnostic, as such it could be utilised for future applications easily The work I did at GW was some of my best, and I think it is worth noting I was surrounded by an incredibly diligent and talented cross-functional team that all played an enormous part in delivering it. London, United Kingdom I still consider FoCo Team Deathmatch as a big achievement in my life. My project partner and I would finish school at 3pm and stay up writing code until the early morning hours. We were delivering code to an active user base in the tens of thousands, and at the time had no idea of the significance of that. We just got on with it. I like to think that this attitude we developed of "getting stuff done" has stuck with me throughout my career.
