Mr Dobes (Warren) was my junior high school commerce teacher and fostered my interested in the world of business. I went on to choose Business Studies as an elective and with him as my educator I ranked 9th in NSW for the subject. While at school, his entrepreneurial spirit and passion came through in every lesson and piece of advice and this inspired me to work harder to achieve my dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon. This ambition seemed unattainable as the entrance score required 98.5% or above. I worked hard and was supported every step of the way by Mr Dobes who encouraged, inspired and truly saw my potential. Since leaving high school I graduated as a veterinarian from The University of Sydney with Merit and since then I have gone on to set up three successful veterinary hospitals in the hyper-competitive market of Sydney, Australia, become the Director of multiple companies and trusts and have purchased residential and commercial properties to diversify my portfolio. While I have worked hard, the seeds of entrepreneurship, motivation, hunger and 'giving back' that Mr Dobes planted back as a student in the 00's were fundamental to my companies' success.
