Solar Engineer / Consultant Engineer
-
Sep 2009 - May 2010
Specialist Solar Energy Engineering Consultant which involved a number of innovative projects. Primarily assigned to a renewable project developer, Mulilo Renewable Energy, and tasked with sitting the first company projects and performing the initial pre-feasibility studies and preliminary design specifications. Part of the initial studies included the design and installation of a pilot plant test facility located in Copperton. The modest 7kWp embedded generator supplied free energy to the community church and was the first grid tied plant in the area. The project consisted of three separate grid tied inverters, each permanently mounted at a different angle of incidence (20, 25 & 30 degree) in order to reduce uncertainty on the baseline assumptions used to model the larger 20MW development nearby.
