The QEC of IST is executing and implementing multiple projects (e.g. HEC Self-Evaluation, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 21001:2018, OBE ) for excellence. Major responsibility are; • Review and maintain the implemented standards and the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area. • Conduct trainings/seminars/workshops to develop understanding about Strategic Quality Management, Academic Quality Standards, Institutional quality Management System and Outcome Based Education System implementation, Problem Identification and Root cause analysis, Statistical Quality Control. • Develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standards of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development. • Responsible to ensure that the institute’s quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place nationally for maintaining and improving the quality of Higher Education. • Some of the core processes which considered under the project of ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ISO 21001:2018 EOMS are: o Define and Implement Quality Management System Process o Define and Implement Training and Awareness Process o Define and Implement Internal Quality Management Audit Process o Define and Implement Monitoring and Measuring Process • As a national responsibility facilitate Universities in automation and integration of Outcome Based Education (OBE) system. • Also facilitate Universities for understanding and integration of Blooms Learning Taxonomy at course and program level.
