The objective of my PhD research is to develop analytical models for predicting the fatigue grow behaviour of multiple damages in FML structures in compliance with the new airworthiness regulation requirement (LOV). *Substantiated the load redistribution mechanism in a cracked FML with discretely notched layers. DIC technique was used to obtain the strain distributions in front of crack tips during crack growth.*Developed an analytical model for predicting the fatigue growth behaviour of isolated generic crack configuration in FMLs. *Successfully analysed the effects of pin loading on the fatigue damage evolution in FMLs.*Developed analytical models for predicting MSD growth behaviour in both FML panels and mechanically fastened FML joints.*Validated the prediction models with experimental results.*All the calculation of mechanical behaviour of damaged FMLs has been implemented in MATLAB codes.
