  Wallem Innovative Solutions (WIS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Wallem Group which is headquartered at Quarry Bay in Hong Kong. In 1999, the Executive Board of Wallem decided to relocate the development effort to the Philippines - a locale supporting a cost effective and scalable development environment. WIS was incorporated originally as DevCo Philippines Inc. in October 2000 based in Clark Freeport Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) situated one hour north of Manila. WIS’ positioning in the Philippines, particularly at Clark, is due to its strategic proximity to some of Philippines’ major universities, vast pool of skilled information technology professionals, and the English language proficiency of Filipinos. The Wallem group has over a century’s worth of Maritime domain knowledge and expertise. It is this background that enable WIS to capitalize on a unique synergy between established maritime knowledge and cutting-edge IT and process improvement skills and expertise. WIS operates with strict compliance to international standards for Quality Management Systems. It has maintained its ISO 9001:2008 Certification for software development and support services since it was first conferred by SGS in January, 2006. It has also achieved certification in ISO 20000 that covers Information Technology Service Management. WIS also provides Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services for the Wallem Group and other third party clients within the maritime industry.
