    • Medical Scribe
      • Mar 2018 - Aug 2019

As a medical scribe I gained exceptional in-person patient experience in a live clinical setting. I practiced becoming efficient at medical history taking and vitals exams and very knowledgable in pain medicine diagnoses, interventions and treatments including steroid injections, musculoskeletal anatomy, surgeries of the spine, nerves, how to prepare a sterile field for steroid injection, documenting consent forms, documenting pain visits post motor-vehicle accident or for worker's compensation claims, writing prescriptions for pharmacological intervention. I worked in tandem with doctors and medical staff and became competent in writing patient documentation with speed and accuracy following each patient encounter. Additionally, it helped me understand the speed and pace of a busy medical practice and how to navigate diverse patient populations while being able to serve both English and Spanish speaking patients.
