Bio
Randall German
I met Prof. Daoush several years ago and have had the good fortune to have him visit at San Diego State University as a guest researcher. He has worked on several advanced material processing projects, leading to six joint publications detailing his contributions, starting in 2010. These publications detail some early collaboration on tungsten-copper composites fabricated using the new concept of spark sintering. Other publications move attention to silicon nitride, silicon carbide, and other multiple constituent composites. The research leading to consolidation conditions for these multiple phase compositions is outstanding. Prof. Daoush is a quiet but very contentious individual. He has worked with tremendous dedication and is a tireless individual. He will gain much from the Fulbright Junior Faculty Development Program, and is especially strong as a candidate since he is active in both teaching and research. He has my total regard for success in translating the findings on engineering and renewable energy into his curriculum and research.
