Democracy. Parliamentary Work Simulation.
-
Oct 2018 - Oct 2018
This was a one-week long activity organised by Associazione Diplomatici at the Italian Parliament in the capital, Rome. This simulation consisted in the ultimate task of drafting, debating, and voting what would have subsequently become a Bill of Parliament. During this simulation I have managed to lead my own group of parliamentarians. Create links with other political groups, discuss and negotiate a policy agreement in relation to the bill's topic. And subsequent to this, merging our groups in one major coalition. After the completion of this process, I was voted to become the coalition leader and present the proposed bill to the opposition in parliament. This resulted in our bill passing over the opposition's one, and becoming law. As a result of this high performance I was awarded as: - Best Coalition Leader Award. - Honorable Mention for Best Effort and Perfomance Award (2018 edition). Show less
