This included code modification and management of data transfer operations. Member of a four person committee which was set up in early 1994 to determine the technical requirements for connecting the provincial government’s WAN in the St. John’s area to the Internet. I was responsible for the acquisition and configuration of all software necessary to achieve this. This included configuring the TCP-IP protocol stacks on workstations and routers, finding the most efficient way of allocating our limited IP address space and installation and configuration of a Domain Name Server and SMTP Gateway.
