  Engineering Co-op in automotive seating, Novi Michigan. I have worked in a variety of departments, from the prototype shop, to my current position in Research and Development. I have also served as a resident engineer at Intier’s assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario. My time with the Ford U387/8 (Ford Edge) team comprises the bulk of my co-op career. For two years, I assisted product engineers with the design, test, and manufacturing for current and future front and rear seats. A chief responsibility of mine was the coordination and validation of both dynamic and static testing for the entire U387/8 seating program. In addition to acting as lead test engineer, I also supervised pre-production assembly processes in Pilot Build and signed off on seat-complete assemblies. I am currently completing my senior thesis paper on optimizing design for state of the art anti-whiplash head restraint and seat system. Show less
