PitchScore was founded in 2019 by a group of angel investors interested in tracking how startup pitches are received, and finding a way to provide better feedback to presenting founders. We developed a webapp to gather the reactions of 150 angels as they reviewed 200 companies and we collected over 10,000 points of data. Using this database we were able to test our algorithms that predict future investor interest and funding based on a standardized set of evaluation factors. Today, PitchScore is a full platform used by founders, accelerators, funder groups and pitch events to evaluate pitches, collect feedback, engage audiences, and connect investors with pre-screened startups on Canada’s national PitchMap.
