      Chinese New Year Facebook Live Celebration: New Year New BeginningAs an event manager, I was overall in charge of this Chinese New Year virtual celebration event. My mission was to ensure the event will be smooth sailing and no issues along with the preparation and execution phase. To accomplish this, I communicated with various parties, external vendors, peers, teachers and the People Association (the owner of the event) daily. I needed to ensure that information is constantly up to date and no information gap between various parties. I was also involved in many behind the scenes roles, from the setting up of the stage to distributions of flyers. All those efforts are to ensure the events will have sufficient outreach to the residents, and the site will be readily available on the day of the event. On the day of the event, we managed to engage more than 40 residents. More than 85% of the residents are positive that they will likely participate in a similar event in the future. Show less

      As a delivery agent of Parcel Walker, I was required to deliver the parcels to the recipients punctually daily. Besides ensuring punctuality, I handled all the parcels with utmost care as some of them are fragile and expensive, like electrical appliances. Additionally, to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in parcel deliveries, I always plan my route. This was to ensure I can get my job completed most swiftly. In some cases where there would be a delay in parcel delivery, I would always go the extra steps to call the recipients in advance to inform them about it. To prevent any inconvenience for the recipients, I would always discuss and explore alternatives during a delayed delivery. They would like to reschedule or authorise me as their recipients. If they opted for the latter option, I would personally make a trip down the next day to their residential address and pass them their parcel. By creating a more personalised service, I believed this would build a better rapport with the recipients and a positive brand image. Show less

      As a hospitality server at Western Mahua, this was my first exposure to the food and beverage (F&B) industry and front line customer service. I was allocated the role of food and beverage server when I first joined, where I worked closely with the kitchen staffs and floor staffs to coordinate and facilitate the serving of dishes. After a few months of working, I was reallocated to this role, hospitality server, where I mainly interacted with customers and serving their needs and wants. My fluency in spoken English and Chinese played a substantial part in getting my job done. I mainly dealt with Chinese and international customers, which was no issue for me as I had prior experience. I was also assigned as a section leader, and customers under my section were always well cared for, with service quality rated as one of the top in weekly appraisal. This experience has shaped me into whom I am now, always striving for excellence in customer service and honing a customer-centric mindset. Show less
